Rockstar Releases Max Payne 3 Dual Weapons Screenshots

New screenshots have been released by Rockstar games, this time showing Max in Dual wielding weapon mode. As Rockstar games slowly releases more screenshots from the game different aspects are slowly being revealed to fans.

Here are the latest screens from the upcoming game showing Max dual wielding weapons.

The screenshots show some of the different weapons combinations as well as the visual environments of the game. Max Payne 3 hosts cutting edge gunplay mechanics with signature Shootdodge and Bullet Time effects lending its hand to the series’ popularity. The design allows for precision shooting. Max Payne 3 hosts the ability to dual wield various combinations of single-handed guns. Rockstar claims Max Payne 3 also has realistic character movements thanks to its Natural Motion’s Euphoria Character Behavior system. Rockstar claims Max Payne 3 is highly detailed, and judging from the screenshots, it is. The 1080p screenshots show rich character and environment details. Even the hairs on his arm and veins popping out are visible.

The third installment of the series takes up where the storyline left off. Max Payne, still haunted by the loss of his loved ones, has lost his job as a cop. Slipped into a life of despair and addicted to painkillers, Max Payne accepts a job in Brazil. In an effort to escape his past he takes on a job protecting a rich real estate tycoon, Rodrigo Branco. However, his plan doesn’t work out quite the way he intended. Payne ends up alone in a strange setting searching for the truth.

According to Rockstar, the storyline in Max Payne 3 is twisted and the gaming, seamless and cinematic.  The game also has some new features to look forward to. Max Payne 3 will be the first game of the series to have a riveting multiplayer gaming experience. The new multiplayer mode alters the mode progression and maps for all players in the same match. Max Payne 3 will still have the traditional multiplayer modes and, of course, the single-player campaign. Max Payne 3 also features a rich leveling and reward system, so there is plenty to look forward to.

The Max Payne 3 special edition can be pre-ordered until April 2, 2012. The special edition includes the disorderly conduct multiplayer weapons pack, classic multiplayer character pack, a bullet-shaped keychain, Max Payne 10” statue, original still life art prints, the official Max Payne 3 soundtrack, and a copy of the game. The pre-order special edition is available for $99.96 USD at Amazon. The standard edition of Max Payne 3 is also available for pre-order.

The game is set to be released May 15, 2012.
