The Last Story English Localization Trailer?

After much waiting, The Last Story has been given an English localization trailer. The video -- which appeared on YouTube -- has caught the attention of gamers who have been waiting patiently of any news on the English release of the game. Read on for more.

The game which was released on the 27th if January in Japan and is set to be released in EU on the 24th of February for the Nintendo Wii had gone without an English trailer until now. There is currently no release date for when it will be released in the US and eager fans have been waiting for any information on this at all. User NintenDaanNC uploaded the initial trailer a few hours ago and already fans seem pleased with the voice acting and how well it matches the characters. All the fans need to do now is hope that the game makes its way to North America.

This new trailer really shows off what fans can expect from the English localization of the game by showcasing some of the game’s characters. Each of the characters says at least a line of dialog, which is likely more than enough to tell fans the quality of the English voice acting. Considering most Japanese games that are released outside the region with English voice acting are often criticised, it is refreshing to see fans showing such support for The Last Story and its English voice acting.

The game -- which takes place in the fictional world of Ruli Island -- features the following characters, some of which were showcased in the trailer:

• Zael – The main hero of the game. Zael is a strong swordsman whose role is to provide an intense offensive in battle.
• Calista – The main heroine of the game. Calista is more of a magic user, whose role is to cast both offensive spells and defensive healing spells during battle.
• Dagran – The leader of the mercenary group. Dagran’s role is to negotiate the group’s jobs. In battle, Dagran is a defensive powerhouse.
• Syrenne – The rouge of the mercenary group. Syrenne fights in battle with two blades and prefers to stay on the front-lines.
• Yurick – The youngest, yet most skilled in the group. In battle, Yurick uses devastating fire magic.
• Lowell – Traditionally an ice-casting mage, Lowell is also capable of using swords in battle.
• Mirania – A gluttonous healer who draws her powers from nature.
• General Trista – Formerly the highest ranking officer in the imperial army.
• Tasha – A student of General Trista, Tasha is a skilled knight who isn’t afraid to take down any opponent.
• Earl Arganan – The most powerful person on Ruli Island and the current head of the Arganan family.
• Zangurg – The main villain of the game, Zangurg is the King of the Gurg race, who are the enemies of mankind.
