Taking place after the events of Kingdom Hearts 2, Kingdom Hearts Re:coded tells the tale of a mysterious message left in Jiminy Cricket's journal. With the help of Mickey, they are able to scan his Journal and re-live the events of the first Kingdom Hearts finding out all is not well in Jiminy's Journal. Taking control of a digital Sora, the player revists familiar worlds and tries to right the wrongs. The game also focuses a lot more on exploration rather than combat and a variety of different gameplay modes.
