European Final Fantasy XIII-2 Special Editions Detailed
Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be receiving two different special editions of the game in European markets. Square Enix announced today that both the Limited Collector’s Edition and the Crystal Edition will include special bonuses. Customers who pre-order the game will also get a pre-order pack which includes some DLC for the game. Check out all of the details below.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is the next entry into the long-running game franchise from Square Enix that will see players following the adventures of Serah and Noel as they attempt to track down Lightning. The game will not only see their efforts to track down Lightning, but also Noel’s efforts to stop a bleak future that he is from (yep, he’s a time traveler).
Players who want to get in on the special edition options for the game will have two choices: the Limited Collector’s Edition and the Crystal Edition. Here is a breakdown of what you will be able to get with each edition of the game:
Limited Collector’s Edition
-Soundtrack from the game featuring music selected by the composer
-Artwork book
-Six collectible postcards
-HD print of Lightning
-Crystal Edition
-Special four disc soundtrack with the full score from the game
-Final Fantasy XIII-2 T-Shirt
-All of the bonuses from the Limited Collector’s Edition
-It all comes in a presentation box.
Here is a picture of what the package will look like:

The Limited Collector’s Edition of the game will retail for 59 Pounds whereas the Crystal Edition will retail for 79 Pounds. If you couldn’t already tell, this announcement is only for the European market. Square Enix has not announced if these editions will be the same that are available in North America.
In addition to these special editions of the game, customers who pre-order the game at select retailers will receive a pre-order package that includes some DLC for the game and more. The pre-order pack will include a steel book case for the game, a set of art cards, a novel that bridges the story gap between Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2 and code for the “Fight in Style” DLC pack. This DLC pack will give gamers a new in-game monster called Omega and several alternate costumes.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be releasing on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 early next year for North American and European customers. Japanese fans will get the game on December 15th of this year.
