Batman: Arkham City is less than twenty four hours away, even so that doesn’t mean you still can’t indulge in some last-minute hype. Rocksteady released a nice launch trailer for the game that is epic to say the least. Click read more to view the trailer and our breakdown.

Watch The Launch Trailer

One of the first things you notice is that Bruce Wayne must return to the place where his parents died. If that isn’t bad enough, he’s probably going to get attacked in the process. It’s not like they just lured Batman into the alleyway either, it practically mocks him with the outlines of his parents corpses and some flowers. Immediately we can tell that the villains of Arkham city want to break Batman at his core, they want to not only hurt him physically but mentally as well.

The trailer shows a lot new take down moves which look awesome and some gadgets well all remember from the original game. One thing I noticed it that Hugo Strange knows who Batman is but other villains don’t seem to know. How did Hugo find out his true identity? And why isn’t he spreading this information? Only time will tell once we get our hands on the game and find out for ourselves.

Near the end of the trailer we see a woman trying to play tonsil hockey with Batman, is this Talia al Ghul? For those of you who aren’t comic book savvy Talia al Ghul is the daughter of immortal crime master Ra’s al Ghul

Christopher Nolan these people look nothing alike

Talia al Ghul does in fact engage in a romantic relationship with Batman and eventually bears his son, Damian, Damian eventually becomes Robin. That concludes you comic book fact of the day. We also see a snap shot of Robin being Robin. One interesting thing is also Catwoman being ensnared by Poison Ivy, I thought these two were friends?

Batman Arkham City is set to release October 18th, 2011 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Onlive.
