Cosplay, Costumes, Creativity, Combat And Carnage All Under One Roof
We're witnessing relentless gunfire noises, roars from crowds and hefty explosions from the innards of every single gaming booth here at the MCM. We are also frequently bewildered, amazed and can wholeheartedly respect the efforts from people portraying their favourite, most loved and cherished gaming characters.

It's like a fireworks display. I cannot help but stare in awe at the bright colours that skittle their way past my vision as I try once again to cop a good look at F.E.A.R. 3. What has been noticeable throughout the event are the costumes people are wearing, representing game characters from our past, present and future. One moment I think I've seen it all, the next - fully homemade and crafted Styria & Nix (Final Fantasy XIII) characters:

It's impressive to see such a display of dedication amongst fans; the number of people dressed up almost outweighs those who aren't! Spinning around to take a diversion towards the Gears of War stand, I'm suddenly face-to-face with a showdown between Master Chief and a rival.
Oh there was tension in the room...

Now, if anybody can comment on which gaming character this is, I'd be very grateful - I just had to get a snap of him though for the sheer greatness alone of his outfit. Any ideas?

We've spent a good amount of time covering Capcom's latest venture into the Street Fighter IV engine. After all the hype and buzz, it was surely only a matter of time before we came across a good portion of the cast, fully kitted out in Street Fighter attire. Some of them have even mimicked the exact fighting stance - just check out Ken and you'll see what I mean!

Yep, this Expo isn't short of Final Fantasy characters, Anime figures, Street Fighter rosters and Ninjas with gas masks (seriously). But come on, we can't have a gaming convention without Lara Croft:

So as we bundled our way through countless cosplayers, there was one that was just a little bit special... Duke Nukem. This time he wasn't on 'The Land of the Babes;' he was here at this convention. He acted like him, looked like him and just reeked of cool. Standing well over 6ft tall and looking hench, we couldn't be more convinced that he was the Duke Nukem.
So I stood next to him and we got a snap - he was theĀ epitome of awesome.
