This June has been incredibly busy, what with E3 and all. Nintendo has released the highly anticipated Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of TIme 3D on the 3DS, but a rather under rated series is going to round out one of the busiest months in the industry: Mystery Case Files. The super-successful Big Fish Games series has certainly cornered the market on niche seek and find games, and Mystery Case Files: Dust to Dust is going to mark the series' first entry onto the Nintendo Wii.

It's a wonder that this game hasn't made its way to the Nintendo Wii much earlier. A game series that relies solely on pointing and clicking seems to be a no-brainer for the point-and-click capabilites of the Wii. No matter, it's better late than never.
The storyline for the Mystery Case Files has never been the focal point, but again, they never really fail to disappoint either. Dust to Dust is going to see you traveling to the harrowing Malgrave Island and diligently searching for literally thousands of objects. Thought to be abandon for years, Winston Malgrave suddenly requests some help in collecting a certain dust-like material that is the only key to saving his beloved Sarah. In order to find this dust, you need collect hidden objects scattered across the island.
These games are generally easy to pick up, and it's safe to assume that the friendly Nintendo Wii version will be just as easy to pick up and play. You will use the Wii Remote in lieu of a mouse cursor in order to examine intricately layered levels in search of various hidden objects. Each level is going to be chock full of objects to find, but they are also going to contain key inventory items that will be necessary to advance the plot.
The puzzles within the the Mystery Case Files games are generally pretty mind-bending and hopefully the wii version of the game is going to deliver some of the same. In previous titles I found myself stuck on several different puzzels within the game and after quite a bit of head scratching and asking family members for an outside perspective, I was able to move on.
A series first will be the inclusion of multiplayer. The multiplayer is going to consist of a race to hunt for various objects on a screen and the person who finds the most in the least amount of time will be declared the winner. If you aren't up for competing, you can have a friend jump into the adventure at any time and help you find those objects that are giving you quite a headache.
