The 3rd Birthday is a Third Person Shooter that features the "Overdrive" ability. Taking the role as Aya Brea, Aya will use a variety of guns (Shotguns, rifles, pistols etc.) to take out her enemies. Along with her weapons, Aya also has the "Overdrive" ability, which gives her the ability to switch between all allied characters in the area. This gives let's Player properly position each ally to strategically deal with each enemy in the area. While th popular belief is that The 3rd Birthday has a direct connection to the Parasite Eve fanchise, that is incorrect, as The 3rd Birthday only takes aspects of Parasite Eve's story and incorporactes it into its own. It does not however, continue the Parasite Eve's.
