Where were you when Duke Nukem Forever was first announced? Can't remember... well no matter, because the king will finally be gracing us with his presence come June!

Highly anticipated first-person shooter Duke Nukem Forever has been in development hell for as long as I can remember, but I'll spare you the stories we've all heard countless times and just get straight to the point, Duke is back. He likes big guns and the alien invaders are stealing our babes once again... not cool. The single-player campaign promises to be lengthy one, clocking in at around 16+ hours, which has me pretty excited, plus all the crude humour and sheer abundance of movie/game references will be a refreshing sight from all the serious cinematic shooters we've been treated to lately. Sometimes you just want to shoot and blow stuff up and hear Duke say something humorous while you're doing it am I right?
An updated Dukematch multiplayer mode will also return rounding out the whole package. Hopefully it sticks to the key principles of what made Duke 3D multiplayer fun, with super frantic steroid-induced players whizzing passed the screen hurling Devastator rockets every-which way, too strapping on the jet pack and throwing pipe-bombs down on your unsuspecting foes... ah good times. Dukes array of exotic weapons and gadgets will definitely bring something fresh to the popular mainstream online shooters of today, shrink rays for all!
Leading up to the launch we can expect a demo version of some sort to appear for Duke Nukem First Access Club members, so for those of you out there that bought the Game of the Year Edition of Borderlands, you got something to look forward to close to the release in June.
Will Duke Nukem Forever live up to the hype? Personally, I can't wait to close the book on it, so come back in June for the full review.
Duke Nukem Forever will be available on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
